2017 Wingsuit World Championships

The most incredible jumps from Wingsuit World Championships - including epic jump highlights, official standings and unprecedented behind-the-scenes to World's Number One Wingsuit Race.

The World Wingsuit League (WWL) was formed to meet the demand of “proximity flyers” for competitions that tested their skills not just against the mountains but against each other. It administers invitational wingsuit flying competition events worldwide.

The WWL 2016 event videos were produced by World Wingsuit League.

Sami Wilenius was the leading camera operator in the project and all videos were directed and edited by Pertti Kaijasilta from DigiScoop.

WWL - For the Athletes By the Athletes

The WWL was founded by two friends: retired professional BASE jumper Iiro Seppanen and Chinese businessman Frank Yang, co-owners of Pan Pacific
Entertainment, a Hollywood-based film investment, production and event services company with offices in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Beijing.

WWL China Grand Prix 2016

2016 World Wingsuit League (WWL) China Grand Prix was held October 13-16 in Zhangjiajie, China.

The 5th WWL China Grand Prix finished with sunny skies and perfect jumps. After a week of bad weather, the clouds finally moved away and the Tianmen Mountain showed its beauty and charm. We were not able to complete Slalom challenge earlier last week and we had to adapt and modify our racing format within the timeframe we had.

Human Arrow
Human Arrow

1st live broadcast from the skies

World Wingsuit League presented Human Arrow on May 28th, 2016.
American wingsuit pilot Jeb Corliss hit an apple-sized target suspended over the Great Wall of China, flying at 120 miles per hour.

DigiScoop had the pleasure again capture these unique moments. Our cinematographer Sami Wilenius managed to capture the thrill and excitement with the help of James Bull, the best flying camera operator in the world. The videos were directed and edited by Pertti Kaijasilta. Pertti has also designed the Human Arrow -logo.

The human archery

Jeb's thoughts after landing: I feel great. This is a project about 10 years in the making, it is something I have been dreaming about for a long time.
It's amazing to do something over a historic monument like this. And to be able to do something that involves so much precision, you know, to strike an apple size target with something the size of a GoPro, it's really challenging, especially when you are jumping from over a mile away, and with the wind conditions that we had, it was super hard.
